ONTARIO – On 12/29/2018 at 8:40 p.m., Ontario Fire Department responded to a vehicle over the side of the freeway that crashed into a palm tree.

Arriving crews located a white sedan down an embankment that crashed into a tree and a fence.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Hwy 60 when when it went airborne and crashed near the exit to Archibald Avenue.

Two occupants, the driver and a passenger were declared deceased on scene by paramedics.

According to witnesses, the vehicle appears to have veered off the freeway for unknown reasons.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and it’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
