SAN JACINTO – On 08/23/2020 at about 2:00 am, Cal Fire responded to reports of a solo vehicle crash into a pole near the intersection of Ramona Boulevard and Lyon Avenue..

Arriving crews located a single vehicle with major damage that rolled into a field after colliding with an electrical pole shearing it at the base.

Of the two occupants, one was transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries and another was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics.

The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified the 20-year-old victim as Isaac Cruz of San Jacinto.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and it’s unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
